Motion Tracking Test
Ui Test 2(2).m4v
C0154.m4v
Main Lessons
- Avoid fast camera movements to minimize motion blur and facilitate motion tracking.
- Set the shutter speed to a faster rate.
- Ensure that autofocus remains consistent to prevent loss of trackers during filming.
- Consider a wider depth of field (test shot was at f4.0)
- Consider using smaller and more spread out trackers to simplify masking.
- Keep shot durations within a maximum of 6 seconds to minimize imperfections in CGI.
- Include a reference object with a defined geometry, such as a phone, for accurate scene scaling and positioning.
- Capture video recordings of the 360 camera to obtain correct reflections when there are people in the shot.
- If the CGI effect is positioned far from the 360 camera, be aware that reflections may be less accurate and glossy materials may have physically incorrect reflections.
- Film a custom HDRI with the 360 camera for accurate environment reflections.
- Capture a clean plate and complete texture of the surface to enhance realism, especially for CGI elements with transparent/translucent properties.
- It would be cool to have the computer playing an animation instead of showing a still frame
